Bob Cooper, QC is a senior Vancouver litigator and founder of Cooper Litigation. His experience covers a broad range of complex civil, criminal and regulatory matters with an emphasis on securities, shareholder, corporate and real estate litigation. Before starting Cooper Litigation, Bob was a senior litigation partner at McCarthy Tétrault. Bob teaches trial advocacy and frequently publishes and presents on securities litigation.

Sandra Foweraker
is a partner at Cooper Litigation and has over 20 years litigation experience.

Prior to joining Cooper Litigation, Sandra was a partner at Hordo & Bennett and was then a founding partner at Foweraker & Fetterly. Sandra has experience in a broad variety of commercial litigation disputes including partnership and shareholder disputes, professional negligence, administrative law, professional regulation and governance, and employment law. She also has experience in product liability and serious personal injury cases. Sandra has appeared before all levels of Court in British Columbia and has acted as counsel in domestic and international arbitrations.

Academic and other distinctions include law clerk at the Supreme Court of Canada to Mr. Justice McIntyre and then to Madam Justice McLachlin and Commonwealth Scholar at Cambridge University where she received a Master’s degree in International Law.

Andrew Crabtree
is a litigator with a broad and diverse practice focussing on complex, commercial litigation.  He has extensive experience dealing with complicated business disputes, including shareholder claims, oppression and dissent proceedings, contractual disputes, securities litigation and enforcement proceedings, real estate issues and other corporate matters.  Before joining Cooper Litigation, Andrew worked in the Vancouver office of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP for five years.

Joelle Walker
practices in the area of corporate/commercial litigation and dispute resolution. She previously spent over seven years in the litigation group of McCarthy Tétrault LLP.

Joelle has acted for clients in a broad range of corporate/commercial disputes and regulatory proceedings. Her experience includes shareholder disputes, securities litigation, contract disputes, regulatory enforcement matters, real estate disputes, arbitration and mediation.  Joelle also provides strategic advice on issues relating to corporate governance.  Joelle has appeared as counsel at all levels of court in British Columbia, as well as before administrative tribunals and regulatory bodies such as the Law Society of British Columbia, the British Columbia Securities Commission and the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada.  Joelle’s regulatory work has included acting as counsel for regulatory bodies and for respondents in regulatory proceedings.

Joelle is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia. She previously served on the Executive of the Vancouver Bar Association.

Michael Elliot
has experience as a litigator in a range of civil and commercial disputes, as well as appellate and judicial review, administrative and constitutional proceedings, and international arbitration. He has appeared as counsel at all levels of court in British Columbia, as well as representing clients before various administrative tribunals.

Michael obtained a J.D. from Dalhousie Schulich School of Law under a Law Foundation Scholarship, and a B.C.L. from the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Mackenzie King Scholar. He has published and co-published papers in a number of academic journals as well as for the Continuing Legal Education Society of B.C. He has also been a co-presenter before the National Academy of Arbitrators, guest lectured at the University of British Columbia Peter A. Allard School of Law and helped to coach the law school’s Wilson Moot team.

In 2015, Michael served as foreign law clerk to Justice Nkabinde of the Constitutional Court of South Africa.

Osiris Buendia
has extensive experience in accounting and legal assistance. She graduated from Capilano University in 2008. She has worked in the areas of Civil Litigation, Small Claims and Administrative Law and has created accounting and management systems for small businesses to ensure they run smoothly all that while incorporating enthusiasm and a strong work ethic.

Osiris is the legal assistant for Andrew Crabtree and Sandra Foweraker.
